Pesni i tanzi

Pesni i tanzi (Songs and dances in bulgarian) was written in 1999  –  ten years ago (…), and first performed as ballett music with musicians from the Manuell de Falla Orchestra Cadiz/Spain and Jose Biondi coreography. The composition contains thirteen pieces: Four solo pieces, three duets, three trios and three quartets. The order, and which pieces to play is free. The material is abstractions of bulgarian folk music, and one of the most complex works I’ve written so far; and difficult to play. Pesni i tanzi is dedicated to Bojidar Spassov.
